The secret is out - APMG's ITIL compliance criteria are WEAK!

Now we know why these ITIL product compliance criteria were not published. There is very little about the ITIL processes in these criteria. Just a few elementary features like unique ID, data elements, reports, audit trails.

For example: There is little in these assessment criteria that relate a set of required practices to the pre-defined service objectives. Only the most basic process tasks are identified and key control objecives and control techniques are not listed to address inherent risks and key value delivery opportunities. Activities within process areas are not identified and measured against activity and process area / process goals. Key records are not identified for collection, retention and destruction.

The end result is I have no confidence that the ITIL process purported to be adopted is in fact implemented.
