New itSMF Board elected
The white smoke has gone up and the new Executive Board is appointed at itSMF International. The fascinating aspects are new blood and a true international flavour.
Check out the Board:
David Cannon (USA) Chairperson
- Works for HP. ITIL V3 author (twice). Long time member of itSMF USA.
Sallie Kennedy (USA)
- Works for The Compliance Team as CFO. Longtime member of itSMF USA
Alejandro Debenedet (Argentina)
- Works for EXIN (not mentioned on his itSMF bio. I'd have thought it salient.) Based in Netherlands now?
Hon P Suen (Hong Kong)
- Works for Hong Kong Jockey Club (for those not in the know, that is a SERIOUSLY rich and powerful organisation in HK). Founder itSMF HK
Ulf Myrberg (Sweden)
- Works for BiTA Service Management (an EXIN ATO)
Marianna Billington (New Zealand)
- Works for Fairfax Media.
Michael Kum (Malaysia)
- Works for MKC Solutions. Co-founder itSMF Malaysia.
Only two there who could be described as ITIL "establishment" and none who are long-term itSMF International.
Only one country with multiple members and it is not the UK. Not a single Pom amongst them. The IT Skeptic predicited a trans-Atlantic power shift years ago.
I also note the software vendors are moving on to greener pastures - also as predicted.
Interesting times.

Hmmmm...
Apart from possibly the NZ & HK people, are there any IT Service Managers with real-time and relevant experience on that Board? Seems to me that they are either consultants, trainers or vendors!
